Setup is a step more technical than pasting a URL, because someone creates an MCP connector in HubSpot first.

Requirements and setup

  • A HubSpot account and permission to create an MCP connector.
  • An MCP client that supports OAuth with PKCE.
  1. In HubSpot, go to Development → MCP Connectors → Create MCP connector, with your client’s redirect URL.
  2. Connect your MCP client to https://mcp.hubspot.com using the connector’s client ID and secret.
  3. Run get_user_details to see which tools your account can use.

Limitations

  • If Sensitive Data is turned on in your account, activity and conversation data are blocked through the MCP server.
  • Based on CRM search, without vector search.
  • Scope updates require re-installing the connector.
