Requirements and setup
- An eligible Semrush subscription with API units.
- A Trends API plan for traffic and market data.
- In Claude or ChatGPT, find the official Semrush app and connect it; or add https://mcp.semrush.com/v2/mcp as a custom server.
- Approve access on the Semrush permission screen.
- Check your unit balance in Semrush under My Profile → Subscription info.
